Make a landing zone
Rain follows you inside through shoes, umbrellas, jackets, and bags. A simple landing zone keeps the wet part of the day from spreading into the rest of the room.
Use one washable mat, one towel, and one place where wet items are allowed to sit. It does not have to look styled. It has to work when the weather is annoying.
Protect the bag and the paper
On rainy days, the outside pocket is not always your friend. Keep paper, notebook pages, and important small items closer to the middle of the bag.
A small pouch can help keys, receipts, and cards stay easier to find when the bag is damp or crowded.
Reset before it becomes clutter
The best rainy-day routine can be reset in less than a minute: shoes on the mat, umbrella shaken out, jacket hung, bag placed somewhere dry.
